Garrett La Bonte is an audio post-production engineer based in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Orange County, California where he became a self-taught musician and graphic artist since 2006. He has produced his own recordings and has worked with several artists, engineers, and producers. He is a volunteer coordinator at 2220 Arts + Archives, an interdisciplinary event space that is focused on experimentation, improvisation and adventure across a vast spectrum of artists and art practices. He is also a podcast post-production engineer.
He is currently an active member of the Greater Los Angeles music & arts community and participates in several musical acts, both in studio and live. He has toured across North America playing guitar, bass, keyboards, and singing since 2011. He currently studies music theory and bass with Joe Lally of Fugazi, The Messthetics, and Coriky. He has previously studied songwriting and composing with Phil Elverum of Mount Eerie and The Microphones, and has studied arrangement and production of Dave Longstreth of the Dirty Projectors.
G.A. La Bonte is currently available for mixing and mastering for both music and podcasting projects, as well as in-studio and live bass work.
